FC DALLAS RALLIES FOR 3-3 TIE AT KANSAS CITY: Last Saturday night FC Dallas trailed Kansas City 3-1 heading into the 77th minute of play. Ronnie O'Brien and Carlos Ruiz then scored goals in the 77th and the 82nd minutes, respectively, to tie the match and give FC Dallas a point in the standings. It was the first time an MLS team has rallied from a two-goal deficit in the 77th minute or later to either tie or win the game since July 24, 2004. On that date, San Jose rallied from a 2-0 deficit to New England with two goals in extra time to tie the score. The last time it has happened in Dallas team history was when the squad trailed Chicago 2-0 on Sept. 8, 2001 and came roaring back with goals in the 86th and 91st minutes to tie the contest at 2-2.
RESERVES DOWN HISPANIC LEAGUE ALL-STARS FROM HOUSTON: While FC Dallas traveled to Kansas City for a 3-3 tie, the reserves were in Dallas hosting a group of Hispanic League All-Stars from Houston on Saturday. FC Dallas downed the All-Stars by an 8-0 final, getting goals from Mario Torres (2), Abe Thompson (2), Ty Maurin, Drew Moor, Philip Salyer and Peter Louis. Robert Mina played the full 90 minutes in the match after appearing in 33 minutes during a scrimmage with SMU and 14 minutes during his MLS debut on Apr. 30 at Los Angeles.
