Real Salt Lake to appear in four nationally televised games on ESPN2

SALT LAKE CITY - Real Salt Lake and Major League Soccer, together with the ABC and ESPN Networks, today announced that four RSL League games will be televised nationally during the 2005 season. Among the featured match-ups is the first game between Rocky Mountain regional rivals Colorado Rapids and Real Salt Lake, on April 16 from Rice-Eccles Stadium at 1:00 p.m. MT.


RSL will be seen in three additional nationally televised games on ESPN2, including games against 2004 MLS Cup Champions D.C. United on July 28 at 5:30 p.m. MT, then RSL hosts Chivas USA on Aug. 6 at 2 p.m. MT and FC Dallas on Sept. 18 at 12:00 p.m. MT.
ABC Sports will again televise both of the League's marquee events in 2005, airing the Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game on July 30 and MLS Cup 2005 on November 13, with both games slated to kick off at 1:30 p.m. MT. MLS Cup 2005 will take place at the Frisco Soccer and Entertainment Center, home of FC Dallas, while the location of the Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game is yet to be announced.
The HDNet, Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports en Español national television schedules, each MLS club's regional television schedules, and the MLS Direct Kick season package on cable and satellite will be announced in the coming weeks.
THREE FOR ALL:
Real Salt Lake, and Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation in cooperation with Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA) present the
first annual "Three for All" 3 v 3 Soccer Fest
. Boys and girls ages 7-15 are invited and encouraged to sign up. The tournament will be held on the University of Utah campus at Spence Eccles Fieldhouse located at 550 south Guardsman Way (1580 east) on Mar. 5, 2005. This new indoor facility has field turf and players may wear cleats or indoor shoes.
