On the defensive effort:
"You are always trying to fix something. We have been trying to fix the defensive end and we limited their opportunities and we made some plays in order to ensure we got the goose-egg. On the other end, we needed to create a few more opportunities. Josh (Wolff) had the two best ones. The second one he didn't hit the ball solidly enough and the first one there was a whistle, but I don't know why."
KANSAS CITY WIZARDS DEFENDER JIMMY CONRAD
On the Wizards defensive performance:
"I think we have been a little over-conscious since we have been giving up so many goals. This week we were like, 'let's not give up any.' I think the consequence of that focus might have taken a little away from the offense and we didn't create as many chances as the last couple games. We have been so intent on putting up a zero today, unfortunately our offense had to sacrifice. Now that we got that out of the way, we just need to find a happy medium."
KANSAS CITY WIZARDS GOALKEEPER BO OSHONIYI
On the shutout:
"I think it was a needed game for our team. We have obviously been giving up a lot of goals and today Nicky (Garcia) and Jimmy (Conrad) did a great job with Jose (Burciaga) and Alex (Zotinca) in the back and they were able to shut down Jaime Moreno and Santino Quaranta so we could get a shutout."
On the style of the game:
"It was one of those games where both teams kind of knew what the other was trying to do. They kind of bogged us down and we were able to do the same to them. A few balls got through here and there that I needed to make a save one, but for the most part there wasn't end-to-end action. We knew it was going to come down to one play here or one play there, you just hope you are ready to make the play and fortunately today I was there."

"We presented ourselves in very good defensive shape today. We won the 50/50 balls all day. I'm not yet happy with our finishing, but we'll continue to work on that."
On the defensive effort:
"Our defenders read the game well today and won a lot of balls."

"We couldn't create better chances than we did today. Regardless, this is a good result. We'll build from here."
