Earthquakes players Eddie Robinson and Brian Ching and President & General Manager Alexi Lalas appeared at the latest Bay Area Scores Fundraiser on Monday, June 28 at the Gordon Biersch Brewery in San Francisco.

Robinson and Ching participated as "guest bartenders" for the evening, with 20 percent of all sales benefited the Bay Area Scores Program.

"We had a blast for a good cause," Robinson said. "What could be better than that?"

Lalas participated with Bay Area Scores Executive Director Colin Schmidt in the trivia portion of the evening. Fans who could answer Earthquakes and other soccer trivia questions won Quakes prizes. The Earthquakes also provided items for a Bay Area Scores raffle that occurred later in the evening, with fans able to win a team autographed mini-ball, a team autographed Quakes jersey, tickets to the July 7 San Jose vs. Dallas game and an autographed Sports Illustrated magazine featuring Landon Donovan.

Bay Area Scores is after-school programs that helps children on the field and achieve success in the classroom. The two-hour program teaches kids creative writing, soccer and community service. The students participate in creative writing courses that teach them to express themselves through poetry. The students then participate in a soccer program three days a week, competing against other schools in the Bay Area Scores Proram. At the end of each quarter, the students are required to do a community service project.
