Quakes notes: So long, Sunshine State

The San Jose Earthquakes wrapped up their time in Florida Wednesday afternoon.

The Earthquakes wrapped up their time in Bradenton, Fla., on Wednesday with a morning training session at the IMG Academy followed by an afternoon in the gym. Head coach Dominic Kinnear split the group into four teams and played some small-sided games in the morning session. The forwards then worked on finishing, while the rest of the team played soccer tennis.

The team departs Florida tomorrow after two weeks in Bradenton and arrives in San Jose in the evening. The Quakes will take Friday off and then resume training on Saturday morning at West Valley College in San Jose.
"We are very pleased with our stay in Florida," Kinnear said. "We got six games in and everybody got a chance to play and show what they have. We are looking forward to coming home to the Bay Area for a few days, before heading down to L.A. next week. I am happy with where the team is at right now."
Next Stop: Los Angeles

The Quakes will train in San Jose through Tuesday of next week, before traveling to Los Angeles on Wednesday, March 2 for training at The Home Depot Center. The team has tentatively scheduled matches with the Los Angeles Galaxy, Club Deportivo Chivas USA and UCLA. Kinnear's squad will remain in Southern California until March 9.
