Quakes launch revamped Web site

The San Jose Earthquakes announced today the re-launch of the team's official website, sjearthquakes.com. The site is now one of eight MLS team websites on the new MLSnet.com Internet Network created through a partnership with Sports on Earth, LLC.

"The new website is going to be a great way for our fans to get the latest information about the Earthquakes," San Jose President & General Manager Alexi Lalas said. "We are excited to be able to provide our fans with such a fine resource."

In addition to the previous content available at sjearthquakes.com, the new-look Quakes website will provide an extensive multimedia section with live and archived web casts and an increased ease in navigating the site.

"We are extremely happy to team up with the San Jose Earthquakes and Major League Soccer," said Phil Green, General Manager MLSnet.com Internet Network. "We have received an overwhelmingly positive fan reaction to the new MLSnet.com, the official league website, and we are looking forward to taking that success to the team level and providing Quakes fans with up to the minute news, information, analysis and all of the exciting video and audio highlights from the field."

Sports On Earth will oversee hosting and day-to-day maintenance of sjearthquakes.com. Through a partnership with Major League Soccer, Sports On Earth will provide original editorial content, audio and video highlights, design and technical support and marketing and sales support to MLS and each of the eight clubs in the network. Sports On Earth is redesigning the websites for the Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew, Dallas Burn, Kansas City Wizards, Los Angeles Galaxy, MetroStars and D.C. United.
