Earthquakes 3, Burn 0 -- quote sheet

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES 3, DALLAS BURN 0

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR

On the game:
"I'm happy with the game. I thought 3-0 was a deserved result. I thought some of the soccer we played tonight was breathtaking, especially the third goal, which was quite exquisite. I think the guys not only played well in the Dallas penalty area, but played well in ours. That is two shutouts in a row for us, so I am happy with the way we are defending and attacking."

On the Earthquakes playing in the NASL Earthquakes "retro" uniforms:
"I grew up in this area and watched the Quakes play, so seeing the emblem on the front of the jersey brings back some good memories. We should wear them for the rest of the season if we play like that."

On the play of Ramiro Corrales:
"Ramiro was very good tonight. The first goal he scored was excellent, and his overall play tonight was excellent. He was on and off the ball, tackling, running, attacking, and his defensive skills were great. It was one of his best games this year for sure."

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES FORWARD BRIAN CHING

On his goal:
"It was a good play by Rich [Mulrooney]. He played me a great ball and then Landon [Donovan] was right there like he always is. I just spun and he passed the ball back and I just tried to hit it high and over the 'keeper."

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES MIDFIELDER RAMIRO CORRALES

On the team's performance:
"I think it was good, everyone gave 100 percent effort tonight and we played well. It is our second win in a row and our second shutout in a row also. Now hopefully we will keep it going."

DALLAS BURN HEAD COACH COLIN CLARKE

On the game:
"They deserved the victory. They came out and started the game very brightly and we didn't. They deserved to get the three points. It's a disappointing result. We had two hard games on the road. If you had said before we'd win one and lose one we probably would have taken that. But to win the first one and to come out and start the game the way we did is very disappointing. We gave up two bad goals in the first half and the game seemed fairly even after that. But the game was over after that second goal."

On whether San Jose played more inspired due to their recent circumstances:
"I don't think so. They're a good team. You've got (Landon) Donovan and (Brian) Ching up top who are both with the national team, not to mention a lot of other really good players. They had a disappointing start to the season and now they're starting to hit on all cylinders. They're a good team and we had trouble containing them tonight."

On where the team goes from here:
"We've got a big game next week home against Chicago and we'll look to get things back on track. We've got eight games left and we're right in the middle of things."

DALLAS BURN FORWARD JASON KREIS

On the game:
"We came up against a very strong team. I think it's a team that's firing on all cylinders right now and is a team that's really clicking. A different class really for me. That team that we played tonight was in a different class than any team we've played against this year and they showed us."

On if San Jose played more inspired:
"Inspired or not they just put on a performance, they put on a show and I felt like we were watching it. I felt like we bought tickets to see that game."
