The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has announced that Kenilworth Avenue/DC 295 in northeast is closed in both directions for approximately 48 hours (until noon Thursday) for emergency repairs to the bridge that carries Eastern Avenue over Kenilworth.
The two service roadways remain open in both directions, but with much reduced capacity.
D.C. United fans planning on attending Wednesday's meeting between the Black-and-Red and the MetroStars are encouraged to use other routes to get to the stadium.
Alternate routes include: New York Avenue/Route 50, Rhode Island Avenue, Bladensburg and Benning Roads and Pennsylvania and Minnesota Avenues.
