PROFILE
Hailing from Ottawa, Ontario, Theo Bair originally joined the WFC Residency program in 2015. After three seasons in the Development Academy, Bair was signed to a multi-year MLS Homegrown pre-contract in July 2018 beginning in 2019.

FIRST TEAM
2020:
Bair scored a goal in six starts and 16 appearances in the shortened regular season, his second in MLS. He appeared in every match during the MLS is Back Tournament for the 'Caps, including making the start in the Round of 16 match against Sporting KC. Bair finished the season with a team-high 3.44 aerials won per 90 minutes. 2019: Bair was quick to impress in his first MLS season, tallying two goals and two assists in 10 starts and 17 appearances. His goal and assist total is the highest for a WFC Homegrown player in his debut season. Bair's Week 23 goal at Portland Timbers was named MLS Goal of the Week and WFC Goal of the Year, and was a finalist for the best goal of the season in the league's year-end honours. He also made one start and appearance in the Canadian Championship.

DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
2019:
Bair recorded a goal and an assist in six starts and appearances for the Development Squad. He was part of the groups that travelled to the United Kingdom, scoring and assisting versus AFC Bournemouth U-23, and South Korea, .

DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY
In his three seasons of DA league and cup tournament competition, Bair totaled 60 goals in 75 starts and 98 appearances for the WFC Residency U-16, U-18 and U-19 teams. Bair was a member of the U-18 side that finished second in 2016, and then helped the U-16 team to a fourth-place finish in the following year. In 2018, he helped the U-19’s to a fourth-place finish in the Academy Championship.

INTERNATIONAL
Bair scored a goal in his very first appearance for the Canada MNT, coming in the 4-1 friendly win over Barbados in January 2020. He first joined the Canadian youth program at the U-18 level in June 2016. At the Festival International Espoirs Provence in France in May 2018, Bair featured in all four fixtures for the national U-21 side, scoring a goal in his lone start versus Japan. At the Concacaf U-20 Championship in November 2018, Bair recorded one goal and two assists in four starts and five appearances, helping Canada to a 3W-2L-0D record. He was a member of the Canada U-23 team at the Concacaf Olympic Qualifiers in March 2021.

YOUTH
Bair started his youth career with Ottawa Royals, before joining Capital United FC and West Ottawa SC before his move to Vancouver.

PERSONAL
Bair names his father as the most influential player on his soccer career for not only training and coaching him, but also for showing him the joy and pleasure of playing the beautiful game... He is named after jazz pianist Thelonious Monk.
