HOW ACQUIRED: Signed via transfer from Saint-Etienne on Jan. 18, 2020.

Berić, 28, comes to the Fire with more than 330 appearances in the top divisions in Slovenia, Austria and France. The striker has scored 122 goals in his career, including 12 goals in the UEFA Europa League and four in the UEFA Champions League.

INTERNATIONAL: Berić has earned 25 caps for the Slovenia national team, producing goals in UEFA Euro qualification (2016) and in the UEFA Nations League (2018-19).

OUTSIDE MLS: After beginning his career in Slovenia, Beric was eventually transferred to the Austrian Bundesliga, where he featured first for Strum Graz and then Rapid Vienna. His most productive season came in Vienna, when he scord 27 goals in 33 league appearances. He later moved on to Saint-Etienne, where he scored 26 goals across portions of five Ligue 1 seasons. While at Saint-Etienne, he also had a brief loan spell at Anderlecht in Belgium.
