Career Summary

HOW ACQUIRED: Signed as a free agent on March 3, 2016. Signed a multi-year contract extension on August 21, 2019. Re-signed on Jan. 19, 2021

Turner started the 2018 preseason third on Brad Friedel's depth chart. He started the regular season as No. 1 for the Revs and held that spot for the remainder of the year. Turner was a key part of the Revolution's successful 2020 season, which saw them make a run to the Eastern Conference Final in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Turner had seven MLS clean sheets in all competitions, and had the fifth-most saves of MLS goalkeepers in 2020 with 68 saves. The performances earned him a nomination for last year's Goalkeeper of the Year, and he finished second in the vote behind the Philadelphia Union's Andre Blake. He was also named the Revolution's MVP in 2020. Turner's profile

INTERNATIONAL: Made his long-anticipated US men's national team debut in a 7-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago, stopping an Alvin Jones penalty kick to cap his second consecutive January camp. He also participated in the November, 2019 camp ahead of Concacaf Nations League Group A matches against Cuba and Canada.

OUTSIDE MLS: Started 27 matches in net for the USL's Richmond Kickers on multiple short-term loans in 2016 and 2017, recording seven clean sheets

COLLEGE: As Fairfield University’s starter in 2014 and 2015, he turned in a 13-9-12 record to go along with 21 clean sheets and a 0.85 GAA. In his junior campaign in 2014, the Park Ridge, N.J., native yielded only 10 goals in 17 appearances, adding 13 shutouts.
