HOW ACQUIRED: Transfer from Djurgardens IF on Dec. 20, 2017.
A versatile, left-footed attacking player with a nose for goal, Eriksson has been a consistent goalscorer in his native Sweden and will be expected to relieve some of the scoring burden from veteran forward Chris Wondolowski.
INTERNATIONAL: Eriksson has earned his first, and to date only, cap with the Swedish senior national team in a friendly vs. Moldova in 2014. He was also called to the team's January camp as they prepare for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
OUTSIDE MLS: Eriksson has spent most of his career in his native Sweden, primary with Vasby United, Atvidabergs FF, Malmo, and most recently with Djurgardens. He was a key part of Malmo's title runs in 2013 – when he led the club in scoring – and in 2014. He has also played abroad in Denmark, Belgium and China.
