HOW ACQUIRED: Traded from NYCFC on Dec. 14, 2017.
The No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 SuperDraft has been an able to produce when on the field during his MLS career, but has suffered some injuries that have prevented him from making a bigger impact. He look to make an impact in KC in 2018.
COLLEGE: Tallied 10 goals and 12 assists at Oregon State University in his 2014 senior season, earning him Pac-12 Player of the Year honors and making him an immediate highly-rated SuperDraft prospect. The performance also helped lead the Beavers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2003. He scored four goals in each of his junior and sophomore campaigns, while a foot injury sidelined him after just six matches of his freshman season in 2011.
INTERNATIONAL: Member of the USA Under-23 national team which failed to get past Colombia in a 2016 Olympic qualifying playoff in March 2016. Also represented the USA U-18 men’s national team in the Lisbon International Tournament in 2011. Selected to the U-18 squad for a trip to Israel in December 2010 after taking part in a camp in November 2010.
OUTSIDE MLS: Attended Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, Texas and played for the Lonestar Academy club side. His U-17/U-18 Lonestar team won the 2010 Disney Showcase.
