Honduras left it late, but came through with a furious second-half rally to snatch a 2-2 draw with visiting Mexico in San Pedro Sula on Friday.
El Tri had taken the lead through a pair of goals from Javier "Chicharito" Hernández, but led by former Houston Dynamo striker Carlo Costly and current New England Revolution Designated Player Jerry Bengtson, the hosts put up two well-earned tallies of their own in the game's dying minutes for the result.

Costly's goal, in the 77th minute, came on a close-range header after corner service from Seattle's Mario Martínez. Bengtson got the leveler just three minutes later when he converted the rebound of his saved penalty after Costly had been dragged down by Mexico's Franciso "Maza" Rodríguez.
Honduras have now gone five games unbeaten against Mexico in World Cup qualifiers. The Catrachos, who travel to Panama on Tuesday, also sit on top of the Hexagonal standings with four points from two games.
Mexico earned their second Hexagonal draw in two outings. They host the US on Tuesday.
