Will Johnson could become 5th player to win MLS Cup with 3 different teams

Will Johnson - Toronto FC - solo

Will Johnson will be looking to add to his trophy personal case next Saturday with Toronto FC in MLS Cup 2016 (8 pm ET; FOX and UniMás in US | TSN and RDS in Canada).

The Canadian midfielder has already won two MLS Cups, one with Real Salt Lake and the other with the Portland Timbers last season.

If Toronto FC do come out on top, Johnson would join an exclusive list. He would be just the fifth player to win MLS Cup with three different teams. Brian Mullan is the only player in MLS history to win MLS Cups with four different teams.

Johnson did not play in last year's game with the Timbers and played just one minute in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. He did start for RSL in their Cup win but was pulled at halftime, missing out on the next 75 minutes and penalty shootout. After not starting in Toronto's first four games in the playoffs, the veteran started and played in the first 62 minutes of TFC's 5-2 win over the Montreal Impact.
