One month down in Major League Soccer's 2014 season, and already we've seen more than a few performers stand out. Now it's time to recognize the best of the best of them with the first-ever Etihad Airways MLS Player of the Month award.


Best part, you get to decide who wins. 


Here's how it works. At the end of each month, the MLSsoccer.com editorial staff selects the five final nominees. These are then put to a vote among you, the fans. Fan voting will be open until 11:59 pm PT, Wednesday, April 2. The winner will be revealed on Thursday, April 3, at 9:30 am ET. 


March 2014 Etihad Airways MLS Player of the Month nominees:


Michael Bradley, Toronto FC. The US national team midfielder proved why his arrival made such a commotion, leading the Reds to their best start in club history. Il Generale leads the league in chances created (15) and is 4th in tackles.


Will Bruin, Houston Dynamo. In three matches, the third-year player found the easy scoring touch that eluded him for much of 2013, notching three goals, including match-winners in Houston's first two opening tilts, and adding an assist.


Mauro Díaz, FC Dallas. The onetime River Plate playmaker has emerged as one of the most exciting players in the league, chalking up two goals and an assist in FCD's four-match unbeaten start to the season.  



Federico Higuaín, Columbus Crew. The talisman of the highly entertaining Crew attack, "Pipa" already has 3 goals and 2 assists for the only perfect club remaining in MLS.     


Nick Rimando, Real Salt Lake. The USMNT goalkeeper is leading the league is saves (19), boasts a 1.00 GAA, and is tied for the league lead in shutouts (2). More importantly, he backstoped RSL to a 2-0-2 record in March.
