A little more than a week since announcing the departure of president and GM Kevin Payne, another big move is just hours away for Toronto FC.
On Thursday, the club announced that it will be holding a press conference "to make a major announcement" on Friday morning at 10 am ET at BMO Field.
The event, which will feature TFC manager Ryan Nelsen and Tim Leiweke, president and CEO of Toronto FC owners Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, will be streamed live on TorontoFC.ca (click here for live broadcast).
Is it the unveiling of a new GM? A new player signing? Speculation is rife and some of it has also been tongue-in-cheek (see the #TFCMajorAnnouncement on Twitter).
