FC DALLAS 2, REAL SALT LAKE 1

FC DALLAS INTERIM HEAD COACH MARCO FERRUZZI

On the game:
"It was an emotional game. The boys did a brilliant job, they were spectacular tonight. A lot of heart, a lot of effort, I couldn't ask for more".

"We asked for a committed performance from the boys that stepped out on the field, and that's exactly what they gave. You can't fault them for anything; complete heart, complete dedication, and complete commitment. And the boys that came on, they obviously sealed the deal, so everybody got the message."

On Dominic Oduro's performance:
"He's been training very, very hard; coming off a goal from last week. He has a lot of confidence and came in and did an excellent job for us."

On coming close a few times:
"I think it's been building up for some time to be fair. We've been close a lot this year. So, did we break through tonight? It certainly feels good, but I think we've been doing good all year."

On playing 10-v-10:
"In some ways I think it benefited us, just because the boys came out so committed. I felt like in adversity like that, we were going to be the ones who responded."

On Juan Toja not starting:
"Toja is an excellent player. He's a spectacular player. He's working into his form, but we have no issues at all. Juan is a great player. He's going to fight for this club. He's going to have an impact. That's what we expect, that's what he expects, that's what's going to happen."

FC DALLAS FORWARD DOMINIC ODURO

On scoring three goals in two games:
"I think I really needed my first goal, which came in the last game. And like every striker knows, it's what really sets you going."

On the game winning goal:
"We've been practicing through balls all this week. I saw a great opportunity and I think (Andre) Rocha saw the same thing that I saw. And I just did what I had to do."

On the first goal:
"Again, at practice, that's all that we've been doing. I soon as he picked his head up I knew what he was going to do, so I just tried to be in the box. It was a great cross and I had a touch on the ball."

On Marco Ferruzzi:
"I want to thank Marco Ferruzzi. He's been a great coach and has done a great job this week. He's my inspiration right now. He's motivating us and everything goes to him right now."

REAL SALT LAKE ASSISTANT COACH ROBIN FRASER

On the second half:
"Obviously we'd lost a player. We had a forward running around in the midfield for the last 6-7 minutes. So the thought was to solidify the back two lines -- the back four and the middle -- and see what we could nip up front. So it was really bringing in another midfielder so that Robbie (Findley) didn't have to play in the midfield, we had already put Dema (Kovalenko) in the back."

On what went wrong:
"I think our effort was good. The guys were tired. We defended a lot, and as a result, we probably weren't able to get quite as much pressure on the services as we would have liked to. And that's definitely a big part of the story. When you're trying to defend a lead, if you can solve problems further away from your goal, then you're in much better shape."

"The thing we've got to learn from this, is late in games we've really got to try to put a little bit more pressure on their service which doesn't give them the opportunity to just drop balls in our box. But realistically this is what happens when the other team is chasing the game; they're going to lump them in and the other side is our defenders have to deal with it."
