Save of the Week

New England's Knighton wins Save of the Week with fingertip parry

The New England Revolution didn't get a win in Columbus last weekend, but Brad Knighton did come up with a miraculous save.

Knighton tipped a Justin Meram shot that was headed for the top corner off the crossbar, ensuring that the game would stay even at 0-0. The save secured Knighton's first MLS Save of the Week presented by Phillips 66 Lubricants win of the season. Crew SC did eventually break through to win the game 2-0.

The Revolution goalkeeper eked out a win against Sporting Kansas City's Tim Melia, claiming 55 percent of the vote. Knighton had previously defeated FC Dallas' Chris Seitz and New York City FC's Josh Saunders.
