Philadelphia Erases Two-Goal Deficit Behind Baribo's Brace
After falling into an early two-goal hole, the Philadelphia Union, behind the scoring duo of Nathan Harriel and Tai Baribo (two goals), scored three times in the second half to knock off the LA Galaxy, 3-2, at Subaru Park. Philadelphia (26 points, 8-3-2) climbed to second in the Eastern Conference table and has four wins in its last five matches.
Wednesday’s win marked the second time in club history that the Union erased a two-goal, second-half deficit to win a match, joining its 3-2 win over the New York Red Bulls on June 8, 2019.
Powering the comeback was Baribo, who regained the Golden Boot presented by Audi lead with his ninth and tenth goals of the season (Watch Here). The Israeli international reached the 10-goal mark in the fewest games in a single season in club history (12), surpassing the previous record of 14 games by Jack McInerney in 2013.
The Union return to action on Saturday night as they travel to face Atlanta United at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / EA SPORTS FC Mobile).

Orlando City Extends Unbeaten Run to 10
Behind two early goals from Luis Muriel (8’, Watch Here) and Martín Ojeda (24’, Watch Here), Orlando City SC kicked off a key two-matchday week in the Eastern Conference with a 3-1 victory over Charlotte FC on Wednesday night. With the win, Orlando (21 points, 5-2-6) is now unbeaten across their last 10 matches, compiling a 4-0-6 record over the span, and have climbed to sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
After Wilfried Zaha brought Charlotte back within one score, 24-year-old forward Ramiro Enrique sealed the victory for the Lions in the 82nd minute with his first goal of the season (Watch Here).
Orlando’s current undefeated streak marks the second-longest stretch in club history, trailing only the 2020 edition of the club that went 12 consecutive matches without a loss from August 26 to October 18. The club’s 10 game unbeaten streak is also the longest in MLS in 2025.
Next up for the Lions is a Sunshine State showdown against Inter Miami CF on Sunday Night Soccer presented by Continental Tire (7 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+).

FC Cincinnati and Columbus Crew Carry Momentum into Hell is Real
Ahead of one of the most anticipated editions of Hell is Real in the rivalry’s history, FC Cincinnati knocked off Toronto FC, 1-0, and the Columbus Crew played to a 1-1 draw at CF Montréal on Wednesday night. Cincinnati (28 points, 9-3-1) and Columbus (26 points, 7-1-5) sit in first and third place, respectively, in the Eastern Conference standings following Matchday 13 with Saturday’s rivalry match carrying significant weight in the early-season postseason race.
This edition of Hell is Real will once again feature head coaches Pat Noonan of Cincinnati and Wilfried Nancy of the Crew, with Noonan holding a slight head-to-head edge in the series history (2-1-1). Saturday’s match will feature the second-highest combined winning percentage by a pair of head coaches (minimum 100 games each) in a single match in MLS history, with the two Ohio-based coaches holding a combined .629 winning percentage. Noonan holds a career 59-28-28 record, while Nancy carries a 74-37-38 career line.
The only match to feature a higher combined winning percentage also featured Nancy, as he faced off against Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino and Inter Miami CF on Oct. 2, 2024, which registered at .629 as well, however, with an advantage in rounding.
The 16th meeting between the two clubs across all competitions will kick off at 7 p.m. ET (MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+ / FS1 / FOX Deportes) on Saturday night.

First-Time Starters Andrade and Ortiz Power Dynamo
In front of their home faithful, Houston Dynamo FC took care of a red-hot Minnesota United FC squad, 2-0, behind a pair of goals from first-time starters Felipe Andrade and Pablo Ortiz. Houston (13 points, 3-6-4) has won two of its last three home matches and sits on the edge of playoff position in the Western Conference.
Ortiz opened the scoring for the Dynamo in the 45’+1’, winning a header inside the six-yard box and lifting it over a Loons defender for hist first career goal (Watch Here). In the second half, Andrade got in on the action, recovering a deflection and powering a strong left foot past a diving Dayne St. Clair for the 2-0 advantage (Watch Here).
Wednesday’s game marked the second time in Houston Dynamo history that multiple goal scorers were making their first career MLS starts. The feat was previously accomplished on April 6, 2008, when Geoff Cameron and Franco Caraccio each scored in their starting debuts.
The feat is a rarity across MLS, having happened only five times over the previous 10 seasons and most recently against the Dynamo, as Tadeo Allende and Telasco Segovia each scored for Inter Miami CF in their first-career starts on March 2, 2025.
Houston will look to carry its momentum into a Texas Derby matchup against FC Dallas on Saturday night (8:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV).

Miami & San Jose Play to Electrifying 3-3 Stalemate
Closing the slate of games was a sensational back-and-forth battle in the Bay Area, as the San Jose Earthquakes and Inter Miami CF played to a 3-3 draw in front of a raucous crowd at PayPal Park. San Jose (17 points, 5-6-2) and Miami (22 points, 6-2-4) both held ground in their respective conference standings following the high-scoring affair.
Miami jumped out to an early 1-0 lead just 35 seconds in the match, as defender Maximiliano Falcón buried an off-balanced header into the back of the net for his first MLS score (Watch Here). Falcón’s goal was the third-fastest to open a game in club history, behind only Luis Suárez (31 seconds, Aug. 24, 2024) and Leonardo Campana (33 seconds, Oct. 5, 2022). San Jose, however, leveled quickly as Cristian ‘Chicho’ Arango took advantage of a misplay by the Miami ‘keeper and fired a right-footed laser into the goal (Watch Here).
The Earthquakes took the lead on a Beau Leroux goal in the 37th minute (Watch Here) before Tadeo Allende pulled Miami even in the 44th minute (Watch Here). Ian Harkes scored the final goal of the first half to give the Quakes a 3-2 advantage going into the break (Watch Here). Allende scored the equalizing and final goal of the match in the 52nd minute (Watch Here), as he found himself on the receiving end of a sharp cross from Baltasar Rodríguez, who notched his first career assist in his MLS debut.
San Jose returns to action on Saturday as it travels east to take on the New England Revolution (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV), while Miami welcomes intrastate rival Orlando City SC to Chase Stadium on Sunday Night Soccer (7 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+).
