MLS Idle: Soccer's Hidden Talents, Episode 4

MLS Idle: Soccer’s Hidden Talents returned on Thursday as some of your favorite players revealed their non-soccer skills to much applause from the judges. 


Sporting Kansas City midfielder Gianluca Busio, Columbus Crew SC defender Aboubacar Keita, FC Cincinnati defender Tom Pettersson and Inter Miami CF midfielder Wil Trapp all performed their talents for Susannah Collins, Charlie Davies and guest judge Max Bretos.


Watch them in action in the video above and vote by posting #MLSIdle and your favorite performer’s last name on Twitter or Facebook. Voting closes Sunday, May 10 at 11:59 pm ET and the final tally will be announced next Thursday.

NYCFC defender and Icelandic recording artist Gudmundur Thorarinsson also appeared as a special guest and performed a new original song during the show. Read more about his singing prowess.


Fan voting on social media determines each week’s winner. Fans can vote early and often by posting #MLSIdle and their favorite performer’s last name on Twitter or Facebook.


The results of the fan vote from Episode 3 were also revealed on air, with Portland Timbers star Diego Valeri beating Cascadia rival Stefan Frei.

  • Matheus Rossetto (Atlanta) - 17%
  • Andrew Farrell (New England) - 14%


MLS WORKS makes a $1,000 donation in honor of each weekly winner to a local charity designated by his club.


Valeri joins Week 1 winner Rolf Feltscher of the LA Galaxy and Sacramento Republic’s Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu, who was voted Week 2 winner.
