HOW ACQUIRED: Signed on a free transfer from Ostersunds FK on Dec. 17, 2019.

Petterson is a left-footed center back who is strong in building possession out of the back. His experience and leadership should see him continue to be an integral part of the club's backline in 2021.

OUTSIDE MLS: Made a combined 188 appearances in the top divisions of Sweden and Belgium as well as a combined eight UEFA Europa League appearances in his last seven professional seasons (2012-19). In the 2019 Allsvenskan campaign, Pettersson made 23 appearances, including 22 starts, while scoring one goal with Östersunds FK.
