Landon Donovan is supporting Concacaf teams at the World Cup: Will you?

Landon Donovan - Countdown to Decision Day - October 15, 2017

Landon Donovan has dropped a few gems on his Twitter feed lately â€“ his message to fellow World Cup roster casualty Leroy Sane was high art – and over the weekend he stirred the pot again as most of planet Earth eagerly counts down to the kickoff of the 2018 World Cup.

While many US and Canadian national team fans are nonplussed at the idea of supporting Concacaf colleagues and erstwhile adversaries Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama at Russia 2018, the MLS and USMNT legend says he's all in for regional unity:

...which got us thinking: Just how many people will do the same thing?

Panama are the team that took the third automatic qualification slot that the USMNT were aiming for (unsuccessfully) last year, while Mexico are the United States' longstanding heated rivals and Costa Rica have mostly dominated the US in recent cycles. From Canada's perspective, they're all teams who took the Concacaf Hexagonal slots that Les Rouges have craved for years.

But a strong showing from Concacaf teams in Russia might help everyone in the region by boosting the confederation's profile and ranking within FIFA. So ... are you following LD's example?
