Lions Look for 10th Consecutive Result

The owner of the longest unbeaten streak in MLS in 2025 is Orlando City SC, which has rattled off nine straight matches without a loss dating back to March 15. During the streak, the club has picked up 15 points (3-0-6) and allowed just seven goals, while climbing to a playoff position in the Eastern Conference table. Center to their success has been the standout play of goalkeeper Pedro Gallese, who hasn’t allowed a goal for a span of 563 minutes – the sixth-longest streak by a goalkeeper in MLS history.

With a result against Charlotte FC on Wednesday (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+), Orlando would record an unbeaten streak of at least 10 matches for the second time in club history and the first since 2020 (12 matches, Aug. 26 through Oct. 18).

Antony Ascending for Timbers

The Portland Timbers have been one of the hottest teams in Major League Soccer to start the 2025 campaign and are one of just six teams in the league to score at least 22 goals through Matchday 12. Pulling the strings for the Portland offense has been breakout star Antony, who has already set a career high with an MLS-leading seven assists through just 12 matches, including a helper in each of the club’s last five matches.

With an assist at Real Salt Lake on Wednesday (9:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+), the 23-year-old Brazilian would become just the fifth player in the last decade to record an assist streak of six-or-more matches and the first to do so since former Timber Evander (six matches, July 13 – Sept. 18) and Inter Miami CF’s Lionel Messi (six matches, March 24 – May 4) in 2024. Since 2015, only the LA Galaxy’s Cristian Pavon has recorded an assist streak of seven matches, doing so from Aug. 25 to Sept. 29, 2019.

Rusnák Adds to MLS Résumé

Unbeaten across its last five matches, Seattle Sounders FC has relied on a new-look attack featuring Danny Musovski (five goals) and Ryan Kent (three assists in 124 minutes) to power its run. However, some of Rave Green’s familiar faces are also playing at a high level, including Albert Rusnák (five goals, three assists) and Cristian Roldan (one goal, five assists).

Rusnák continues to affect the game in his fourth season with the club, notching 23 goals and 25 assists since joining the Sounders in 2022. With his next two goals, the Slovak international would become the second player in MLS history to record at least 25 goals and 25 assists with multiple clubs, joining Steve Ralston, who accomplished the feat with the Tampa Bay Mutiny (34 goals, 62 assists) and the New England Revolution (42 goals, 73 assists). Rusnák scored 41 goals and added 39 assists across 140 matches for Real Salt Lake from 2017-2021.

The Sounders embark on a two-game road trip this week as they face off against Western Conference foe LAFC on Wednesday (10:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+) and Cascadia Cup rival, the Portland Timbers, on Saturday night (9:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+ / FS1 / FOX Deportes).

Chicho Continues to Cook for San Jose

Tied atop the Golden Boot presented by Audi leaderboard with eight goals this season, San Jose Earthquakes forward Cristian ‘Chicho’ Arango remains one of the most dynamic offensive players in the league. Since entering Major League Soccer in 2021, Arango has totaled 61 goals and 23 assists in 104 matches across three clubs – LAFC, Real Salt Lake, and the San Jose Earthquakes.

With his next two goals, Arango would become the seventh player in MLS history to score at least 10 goals in a season for three-or-more teams, joining Jeff Cunningham, Dwayne De Rosario, Eddie Johnson, Kei Kamara, Ola Kamara and CJ Sapong. Five of the six players to previously accomplish the feat – Kei Kamara (second), Cunningham (fourth), De Rosario (11th), Sapong (tied for 14th) and Ola Kamara (tied for 20th) -- rank in the top 20 of MLS scorers all-time and two of the six captured Golden Boot presented by Audi honors in their careers (Cunningham in 2006 and 2009, De Rosario in 2011).
