Copa America Centenario announces contest for fans to win tickets to Feb. 21 tournament draw

Fans looking to attend the 2016 Copa America Centenario draw now have a way to win tickets to the event.


The draw, to take place Feb. 21 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, will welcome supporters to attend the event, with the tournament's Local Organizing Committee announcing details for how members of the public can attend.


For the chance to win tickets, fans need to head to CA2016.com, the Copa America Centenario's official website, and download the digital match calendar for their favorite national team. After syncing the calendar and registering, fans will be entered for a chance to win two tickets to the draw. You can check out the full official rules for more information on the ticket giveaway.


According to the release from the Local Organizing Committee, the invitation is intended to foster a "fan-focused approach being taken around Copa America Centenario."


The contest will begin on February 1 and end on February 14 at 11:59 p.m. ET. There will be a limited amount of tickets. The Match Calendar will be offered in English and Spanish.


The Copa America Centenario is the first edition of CONMEBOL's championship that will be hosted outside of South America. The tournament will consist of all 10 South American member nations and six CONCACAF teams, including the US, where the tournament will take place, and Mexico.
