The US men's national team are calling in Philadelphia Union midfielder Brenden Aaronson to the senior team for the team's Concacaf Nations League matches against Cuba and Canada next week, sources tell MLSsoccer.com.
Aaronson has been involved at various youth levels with U.S. Soccer, most recently with the U-23 side in September. This is his first call up to the senior national team. The 18-year-old is enjoying a breakout season with the Union, featuring in 27 of the team’s 33 matches with 20 starts so far this season, adding three goals and two assists.

Philadelphia are in the midst of their best-ever MLS season, setting a club-record of 55 points with one game left this weekend on Decision Day presented by AT&T when they will be facing New York City FC (4 pm ET | TV & streaming info). They currently sit tied for second place in the Eastern Conference.
The full USMNT roster is set to be announced on Wednesday, kicking off their inaugural Nations League campaign. The US face Cuba on October 11 then Canada on October 15. Canada currently lead the group after beating Cuba twice.
