HIGHLIGHTS | MLS All-Stars 1-2 Arsenal | 4-minute Highlights

SAN JOSE -- I'm gonna keep this one pretty brief, following Arsenal's not undeserved 2-1 win over the MLS All-Stars at Avaya Stadium on Thursday night.

First and most important... I'm just glad that nobody got hurt, something that was in serious doubt given that Francis Coquelin was running around for the first 45 minutes basically wearing a "Scream" mask and wielding a machete. He came in late and studs up on Kellyn Acosta early, and 15 minutes after that he got into Laurent Ciman a little bit. It was a performance reminiscent of Seattle's Osvaldo Alonso in 2014, when he left cleat marks all over Bayern Munich.

Then Coquelin himself almost got injured when he planted his left knee wrong near the end of the first half after a challenge on Didier Drogba. Thankfully he eventually got up, as did Acosta and Ciman.

Second, watching Drogba score against Arsenal is always a treat. I have no love for Chelsea, but Drogba's been one of my favorite players of the past quarter century, and it's amusing the way he always seems to torment the Gunners:

And finally, I'm certain that I'll have forgotten this game by the weekend. I hope, though, that I never forget this touch from Sebastian Giovinco:

MLS games begin again on Saturday when NYCFC host Colorado (3 pm ET; MLS LIVE), before a full slate on Sunday. See you this weekend, folks.
