Fabian Johnson - American Exports - Borussia Monchengladbach

AMSTERDAM – Borussia Mönchengladbach winger Fabian Johnson set up the opener on Saturday afternoon, helping the visitors post their sixth Bundesliga win in a row with a 4-1 road rout of Hertha Berlin.

With US teammate John Anthony Brooks watching from the home dugout, Johnson breached the area to lay off for Oscar Wendt to fire home on 26 minutes. The US international also notched three tackles and drew a late yellow card as the Foals tentatively climbed to fourth place. Meanwhile, Hertha fell to sixth on their first home defeat of the season.

Elsewhere, Alfredo Morales worked the final 11 minutes of Ingolstadt's 1-1 draw at Schalke. Now winless in three, the visitors slipped to eighth in the table.

One league below, Bobby Wood put in 74 minutes as Union Berlin got well with a 2-0 triumph at Heidenheim. The capital crew won for the first time in four to stay out of the danger zone.

Shawn Barry went the distance as ninth place FSV Frankfurt rallied late for a 1-1 share at Paderborn. The visitors are now unbeaten in three.

Turning to England's Championship, Daniel Williams put on a star show to help Reading claw back late for a 1-1 home draw with tablee-toppers Brighton Hove & Albion.

The US midfielder completed 68 of 71 passes, including three second-half shot assists and 19 positive connections in or into the attacking half. Shortly before the Royals leveled with 12 minutes to go, Williams went close with a low 25-yard drive the buzzed the post. He also chalked up three pass interceptions and an area shot block at the defensive end for seventh place Reading.

Fulham defender Tim Ream also shined as the visitors topped Bristol City 4-1. The St. Louis native worked the left side of a three-man back line, ringing up four clearances, two pass picks and cross smother while moving the ball well. Tenth-place Fulham have two wins in a row and are unbeaten in five.

Eric Lichaj went unused in Nottingham Forest's 1-0 loss at Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham City's Jonathan Spector remained a spectator for their 2-0 loss at Wolverhampton, and Duane Holmes did likewise as Huddersfield Town fell 2-1 at Burnley.
