The top two teams in each group along with the two best third-place finishers advance to the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals.


Per tournament regulations, if teams are tied on points in their group, the following sequence of tiebreakers apply to determine the group standings:


  1. Goal difference in all group matches;
  2. Goals scored in all group matches;
  3. Points in head-to-head matches between teams in question;
  4. Drawing of lots.


If teams are tied on points for one of the two third-place berths in the quarterfinals, the following sequence of tiebreakers apply to determine which teams advance:


  1. Goal difference in all group matches;
  2. Goals scored in all group matches;
  3. Drawing of lots.
