TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Waived, loaned
Inter Miami CF announced two roster moves Saturday, waiving midfielder Luis Argudo and loaning defender/midfielder Christian Makoun to Fort Lauderdale CF, their USL League One team. Makoun can be recalled at any time.
Argudo was selected in the 2019 Expansion Draft from Columbus Crew SC after scoring once and assisting three times across 39 MLS appearances. But he only featured in one match for Miami, an 11-minute substitute stint during a 2-1 loss July 8 against Orlando City SC at the MLS is Back Tournament. Argudo, 26, was picked 67th overall (third round) in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft after playing college soccer at Wake Forest and Elon.
Makoun, 20, is buried on the depth chart for Inter Miami. He’s made one appearance this season, an 11-minute substitute stint during their season-opening 1-0 loss against LAFC. A Venezuelan youth international, Makoun joined Miami in August 2019 as one of their first signings. He was acquired from Venezulan side Zamora FC after spending last season on loan at Italian powerhouse Juventus, having featured extensively for their U-23 team.
