ESPN adds three MLS is Back Tournament group games to broadcast schedule

A trio of Round 3 games at the MLS is Back Tournament will now air on ESPN channels in addition to TUDN, broadening the selection for United States viewers.


Here’s a quick rundown of the three games, which are still viewable on TSN and/or TVASports in Canada. As always, you can also find TV listings for MLS games here.


Philadelphia Union vs. Orlando City


July 20, 8:00 PM ET – ESPN, TUDN in US; TSN in Canada


First place in Group A will be on the line, with Philly and Orlando already booking a Round of 16 spot after each earning two wins so far. The Union are looking to prove they’re one of the East’s top teams, while Oscar Pareja's team has been led by a red-hot Chris Mueller.


Atlanta United vs. Columbus Crew SC


July 21, 8:00 PM ET – ESPN2, TUDN in US; TSN in Canada


Columbus are into the Round of 16 and could clinch Group E’s top spot with a win, while Atlanta are in desperate need of three points to stay alive. The Five Stripes have recorded two losses in as many games, but the Crew own a tournament-high plus-6 goal differential.


Montreal Impact vs. D.C. United


July 21, 10:30 PM ET – ESPN2, TUDN in US; TSN, TVASports in Canada


These teams are in the bottom half of Group C, though D.C. are best positioned to earn a Round of 16 spot with a win and New England Revolution loss. Meanwhile, Montreal’s yet to win down at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and must find a way to contain new super-sub Federico Higuain.
