What Will Ferrell asked LAFC coach Bob Bradley during his team-wide video conference

Will Ferrell - LAFC swag

There are advantages to hosting a soccer podcast when you're a current or former player — like having friends who tell you when LAFC co-owner WIll Ferrell crashes the team's weekly Zoom call.

On the most recent edition of the BSI podcast — hosted by current Minnesota United center back Ike Opara and former MLS regulars Benny Feilhaber and Sal Zizzo — it was revealed that the famous comedian was invited on as a surprise guest to Bob Bradley's most recent team-wide virtual meeting. And he had some tough questions to ask of one of MLS' most experienced coaches.

"First of all he had — I can’t find his wig — he was wearing a wig, the engineer," Ferrell said sheepishly of the person "who works in the basement of the stadium" for the good-natured stunt. "[It was] shoulder-length hair and he was asking Bob if he was jealous of his hair. Which, I don't think Bob thought it was too funny."

Larry Freedman, the club's executive vice president and CEO, had asked Ferrell to join the call as a surprise. He may have regretted his decision.

"I wore a whole costume," Ferrell revealed. "I complained about people stealing the toilet paper and that the fans were not going to have a quality experience if we don’t have any toilet paper, and that that’s my ass on the line."

Ferrell joined Feilhaber — who played for LAFC in 2019 — and the rest of the gang for nearly an hour in total. If you want a soccer-related laugh during these tough times, be sure to give it a listen.
