MLS Preseason 2020: TFC II's Luca Petrasso shows worth in Toronto's 2-0 victory

Luca Petrasso showed his capabilities for his full-time employer's parent club, creating both goals in Toronto FC's 2-0 preseason win over University of California-Irvine on Monday.

Petrasso, who plies his trade for Toronto FC II in USL League One, found 2020 MLS SuperDraft selection Ifunayachi Achara before halftime for TFC's opener, then sent in another cross resulting in an own goal that doubled the Reds' advantage.

The game was without most of the bigger names on Greg Vanney's squad. Among the most notable TFC players to see the field were Tsubasa Endoh and Liam Fraser, who both came on as second-half subs.

It's likely more regulars will see the field two days from now, when Toronto visit LAFC at Banc of California Stadium to continue their 2020 prep.
