Chris Durkin - D.C. United - warm-ups

Over five months since being loaned to Sint-Truidense V.V., D.C. United midfielder Chris Durkin has notched his first goal for the Belgian first-division club.

In Saturdayā€™s 5-2 win over Eupen, Durkin scored in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time to firmly seal the three points. The landmark moment arrived on Durkinā€™s 20th birthday, as he entered as a 70th-minute substitute for his eighth appearance with Sint-Truidense. Heā€™s enjoyed a larger role since December, and has helped Sint-Truidense to 10th in the Belgian Pro League.

Durkin is on loan at Sint-Truidense through June 2020, with the central midfielder looking to build off his prior four seasons at D.C. United. Since signing as a Homegrown Player in 2016, Durkin has one goal and one assist through 36 games (23 starts) for the Black-and-Red.

Before heading to Belgium, Durkin also featured for the United States last summer at the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Heā€™s also featured for the US U-23 menā€™s national team.
