MLS Preseason 2020: Fanendo Adi, Pedro Santos score as Crew drop Quakes

Pedro Santos - Columbus Crew SC - heart hands

Fanendo Adi scored his first goal since he was claimed off waivers and Pedro Santos gave Columbus Crew SC the lead for good in a 4-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on Monday in Cancun, Mexico.

Jack Skahan, the 27th overall selection in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft, gave the Quakes an early in the scheduled 120-minute affair. The latter scorers for Columbus in the closed-door affair weren't immediately known.

Of note, MLS all-time leading goal scorer Chris Wondolowski was one of only a few familiar faces in Matias Almeyda's starting XI, with most of last year's regulars entering at the 61st minute. By contrast, Crew SC boss Caleb Porter started many of his presumed opening day XI.
