Gio Reyna, the son of former US national team great Claudio Reyna and product of New York City FC's academy, has been included in the squad for Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga tilt on Saturday against Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The 16-year-old Reyna has made 10 starts for Dortmund's U-19 squad this season after moving on from the NYCFC academy — a club where his father was technical director until recently — a season ago.
Gio has three goals in 10 starts so far this U-19 Bundesliga season, according to soccerway.com, and has also made contributions in the UEFA Youth League.

With nine players now allowed on the bench for Bundesliga matches, Reyna is receiving his first call-up.
Should he get into the match, he might even have a chance to stare down another face familiar to MLS fans: Former Columbus Crew SC goalkeeper Zack Steffen is getting the nod in goal again for Dusseldorf in the 9:30 am ET kickoff.
