Omar Gonzalez, Jozy Altidore out vs. D.C. United in Audi MLS Cup Playoff match

Toronto FC will be without two of their biggest stars against D.C. United on Saturday in their Round One Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoff match.

Omar Gonzalez and Jozy Altidore were not named in Greg Vanney's matchday squad, both suffering from leg injuries. Altidore suffered quad injury in TFC's Decision Day presented by AT&T match against Columbus Crew SC while Gonzalez failed a fitness test prior to the match due to a hamstring injury. Gonzalez was not named on the Reds' injury report entering the match.

In Gonzalez's 14 starts, TFC conceded 1.1 goals per game and averaged 1.9 points per games. In the 20 games he did not, Toronto conceded 1.8 goals per game and averaged just 1.2 points per game.

On Friday, Altidore told the media: “I start the game, if it was up to me. No problem.”
