D.C. United host the Philadelphia Union in a top of the table Eastern Conference clash Sunday night at Audi Field.

D.C. United (9-6-9) are in third place in the East, three points behind the first-place Union, following a 0-0 draw against the Chicago Fire last Saturday. Wayne Rooney had arguably the most dangerous chance in a game where those were few and far between. But his curling free kick over the Chicago wall was saved by Fire goalkeeper Kenneth Kronholm.

The Union (11-7-6) are coming off a 4-0 defeat to the Montreal Impact last Saturday at Stade Saputo. It was their second defeat by that scoreline in the last thee games. On his debut, Finnish winger Lassi Lappalainen struck for a brace, as did Orji Okwonkwo as the hosts cruised to a comfortable win.
