FC Dallas acquire Ghanaian winger Edwin Gyasi on loan from CSKA Sofia

FC Dallas have acquired winger Edwin Gyasi from Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia on loan with an option to buy, the club announced Monday. The deal was completed using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) and he will be eligible for selection next week when the Secondary Transfer Window opens on July 9.


Gyasi, who turned 28 on Monday, had six goals and 10 assists across 52 appearances in all competitions for CSKA. He also has a goal in five caps with the Ghanaian national team.

The winger spent time in the Netherlands with FC Twente and a few other clubs before signing for Norwegian club Aalesunds FK then Sofia. He made 31 appearances in the Dutch top flight. 


Gyasi joins a deep Dallas attack, featuring Michael Barrios, Dom Badji, Santiago Mosquera, Pablo Aranguiz and others in wide positions.
