You probably heard about, and perhaps watched video of, the new statue of retired great David Beckham unveiled by the LA Galaxy outside Dignity Health Sports Park at their 2019 season opener earlier this month.
Behind the scenes, however, Beckham's friend and countryman James Corden, host of CBS' The Late Late Show, was collaborating with the Galaxy – even getting club president Chris Klein in on the joke – to pull an epic prank on "Goldenballs." The key: a faux statue created to be, well... less flattering than the actual final product.
