Atlanta United announce roster moves following championship season


Just a day after being crowned, the new kings of MLS got right to work shoring up their roster for 2019.

Atlanta United announced their initial offseason roster moves on Sunday, picking up contract options for Alec Kann, Mikey Ambrose, Greg Garza, Julian Gressel, Jeff Larentowicz, Darlington Nagbe and Romario Williams, while re-signing Jon Gallagher.

While the club declined Michael Parkhurst's contract option, negotiations have already begun to bring the cup-winning captain back in the fold.

Contract options were declined for Mitch HildebrandtSal Zizzo, Oliver Shannon and Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu.

The Five Stripes already had 19 players under contract for 2019. Their up-to-date roster is below.
