Don Garber, Brad Friedel inducted with 2018 Soccer Hall of Fame class

Saturday in Frisco, Texas, Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber and New England Revolution coach Brad Friedel joined three others in the 2018 induction class at the National Soccer Hall of Fame. The Induction Ceremony took place in the freshly opened venue, housed in a 19,350-square-foot complex at FC Dallas's Toyota Stadium.



Joining Garber and Friedel were former US womenā€™s national team legends Cindy Parlow Cone and Tiffeny Milbrett, along with former U.S. Soccer Federation president Dr. Bob Contiguglia. Additionally, longtime Philadelphia Union announcer JP Dellacamera was be recognized with the Colin Jose Media Award.



The National Soccer Hall of Fame, which is comprised of the main museum and exhibit space, the Hall of Fame Club, the Open Cup Club, a media center, locker rooms and a retail store, is the first Hall of Fame housed inside a stadium.


The NSHOF, which features 400 US soccer artifacts and state-of-the-art interactive exhibits, officially opens to the public on November 2.


The weekend activities continued with Saturday's an Imagine Dragons concert, and will conclude with the top-of-the-table Western Conference clash between FC Dallas and Sporting Kansas City on Sunday (5 pm ET | TV & Streaming info).


It seems they do, in fact, actually do things bigger in Texas.
