Add Lionel Messi to the growing list of players being linked to Club Internacional de Futbol Miami.
According to the Daily Mail, the Barcelona superstar could be in line to a move to Major League Soccer when the club makes its debut in the 2020 season.
The 31-year-old Argentine is under contract with Barcelona until the end of the 2020-21 season and he’s previously indicated he’d like to finish his career there. But the Daily Mail said executives at several MLS clubs were convinced David Beckham’s Inter would look to land Messi.
The article surmises a move to Miami, with its heavily Latino population, could be preferable for Messi at the end of his storied career.
Miami has most recently been linked with Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann as well as Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
