Independent Panel rescinds suspension for FC Dallas' Cristian Colman

Cristian Colman - Daniel Steres - FC Dallas - LA Galaxy

FC Dallas forward Cristian Colman has had his red-card suspension rescinded and will be available for his team's game on Saturday evening against LAFC (8 pm ET | ESPN+ - Full TV & streaming info).

Colman was originally shown the red card for violent conduct in the 80th minute of Dallas' 3-2 win over the LA Galaxy on Wednesday evening. However, the Independent Panel, consisting of one representative apiece from the United States Soccer Federation and the Canadian Soccer Association, as well as one independent representative nominated by the Professional Referee Organization, voted unanimously to rescind the one-game suspension and accompanying fine.

Each club is entitled to two unsuccessful appeals per season, including playoffs. Since Dallas' appeal was successful, the team maintains its two unsuccessful appeals for any future dismissals in the 2018 season.
