Unbeaten streaks will be put on the line as the Portland Timbers welcome the Montreal Impact to Providence Park in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday. Both sides face short turnarounds. Portland visited the New York Red Bulls and grabbed a point with a goal-less draw at Red Bull Arena on Sunday, and Montreal ended even with Real Salt Lake at 1-1 a day earlier.
- The Timbers have gone seven games without losing and the Impact are on a five-match undefeated run.
- The Timbers, who are looking to get into a playoff spot in the West, have posted back-to-back clean sheets, but the Impact have scored six goals in their last three games.
