With Colombia already through to the Copa America Centenario quarterfinal, it took only two minutes for desperate Costa Rica to shake up the potential standings in Saturday's Group A finale for both teams, as Montreal Impact midfielder Johan Venegas scored a smoking, screaming golazo to give Los Ticos a 1-0 lead.
The 26-year-old, transferred from Alajuelense on Aug. 3, 2015, punched in a regular season and postseason goal for the Impact last year. He's scoreless through 9 appearances (3 starts) in 2016, recording 7 shots (3 on target) and an assist in 306 minutes.
