Golden Globes? Forget about it. The Webbies? Meh. American Cinema Editors’ ACE Eddies (yes, that’s a thing)? Yawn.

The end of the year’s most anticipated awards are just around the corner and you haven’t even heard of them yet. But, you’re going to want to be a part of them.

Welcome to the #MLSSoshies, a year-end extravaganza recognizing exceptional performance on social media.

You’re on social media, we’re on social media, and, of course, the players are on social media. They’re also doing a really good job on it.

We’ve created the #MLSSoshies to “like” all that’s good in the wonderful, wild, and wacky world of Major League Soccer social media.

And now, fans, we need you to help hunt down the best social posts of the season from players, and tell us who are the best MLS athletes overall on social media. Your nominations will be narrowed down by our editorial and social media team, and then you get to decide who goes home with each coveted award.

Using the hashtag #MLSSoshies fans can nominate players in five categories:

1) Most Social Player

Whether they’re on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, MySpace or all of the above, they’re just killin’ it. They’re experts with apps, filters, RTs, and are always up for sharing socially.

2) Let Me Take a #Selfie

Extend the arm. Get the look. Snap a pic. These guys are pros at the art of self-capture.

3) The Bigger Picture

There’s a whole wide world outside of soccer (we know, gasp!) and these players are capturing life beyond the pitch in the most unique ways.

4) Family Matters

Whether it's their wife, partner, kids, or pets, these players know that family is important, and they capture those quirky, cute, and downright lovable special moments with expertise.

5) #BFFs

Like a buddy-cop movie, they’ve got a partner that always shows up at the right place and the right time (when the camera clicks, obviously). Perfect pairs. Troublesome trios. Let the shenanigans ensue.

Let’s get social.
