MLSers past and future feature in USL's 2015 All-League Teams

Several MLS reserve-team prospects and former players featured in the USL All-League Teams announced by the United Soccer League on Monday.
LA Galaxy II defender Daniel Steres earned his second straight All-League selection, as he and MLS exes Matt Fondy – USL's leading scorer in 2015 with a league-record 22 goals – Long Tan and Grant Van De Casteele were named to the first-team squad along with onetime New England Revolution reserve and longtime USL standout Luke Vercollone, a mainstay of Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
Ex-Colorado Rapid Brenton Griffiths made the second team for his efforts with Orange County Blues, as did former Sporting KC midfielder Mechack Jerome, now with Rapids affiliate Charlotte Independence. Portland Timbers 2 starlet Kharlton Belmar was also named to the second XI, as was Sacramento Republic star and ex-Columbus Crew SC midfielder Nemanja Vukovic.
The Rochester Rhinos led the way with three selections to the All-League First Team, after claiming both the USL regular-season title and 2015 USL Championship.


The 2015 USL All-League Team was voted on by team management and a league-wide media panel that included representation from every USL market. The 2015 USL Awards are being announced throughout this week, commencing with the unveiling of Brandon Miller as the 2015 USL Goalkeeper of the Year on Monday.
