MLS Disciplinary Committee fines David Mateos, Tommy Thompson, Leandro Barrera and Michael Barrios

David Mateos (Orlando City SC)

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined four players following Week 28 games, including Orlando City SC defender David Mateos. The Spaniard was issued a fine of an undisclosed amount for simulation in the 87th minute of Orlando's match against Sporting Kansas City on September 13, 2015 (VIDEO).


Earlier in the week, an Independent Review Panel rescinded a red card issued to Kansas City's Dom Dwyer as part of the same incident.


Furthermore, the Committee has fined San Jose Earthquakes midfielders Leandro Barrera and Tommy Thompson an undisclosed amount for violating the League’s policy regarding Entering the Field of Play/Leaving Bench & Technical Area in the 71st minute of San Jose’s match against Seattle Sounders FC on September 12, 2015.


Lastly, FC Dallas midfielder Michael Barrios has been fined an undisclosed amount for simulation in the 61st minute of Dallas’ match versus New York City FC on September 12, 2015 (VIDEO).
