The US women's national team, recently crowned as FIFA Women's World Cup champions, will be fêted with one of New York City's highest honors, the ticker-tape parade through the "Canyon of Heroes" in lower Manhattan.
The parade takes place on Friday, July 10, at 11 am ET.
Attendance at the parade is free, and fans are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue when lining the route through the Canyon of Heroes, which runs up Broadway between Battery Park and City Hall in downtown Manhattan.
If you're at the parade -- or not -- use the hashtage #USWNTparade to join the global conversation.
In addition to the stream on MLSsoccer.com and USsoccer.com, the parade will also be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1 and on ESPN3.
Friday's ticker-tape parade will be the first in New York since 2012, when the NFL's New York Giants were honored after winning the Super Bowl, and only the sixth since 2000. The USWNT players will be the first women's team to be celebrated with ticker-tape parade in New York and the first female athletes since figure skater Carol Heiss in 1960 after she won the gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley.
At the conclusion of the parade, there will be a ceremony at City Hall to honor the team, including hat-trick hero Carli Lloyd, goalkeeper Hope Solo, and star forwards Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan. The ceremony will also be live-streamed on this page here on MLSsoccer.com.
